Your UCF ID serves as your Library card. Activation of your Library ID number is necessary to check out library materials, view electronic resources off-campus, and utilize Interlibrary Loan.
If you are an enrolled student, staff or faculty member of UCF and have never checked out materials at any of the UCF Libraries, please fill out the form below. Circulation staff will activate your ID during regular Library operating hours. If your ID is not activated within 48 hours, or have any other problems or questions, please call (407) 823-2580 or email us at circ@mail.ucf.edu for assistance.
If you are having difficulty accessing the electronic databases, please contact Ask-A-Librarian or call (407) 823-2562 (local) or 1-866-271-7589 (toll free).
Research Guides are prepared by UCF reference librarians to assist users in finding resources and materials in the UCF Libraries. Most guides include sections on how to find books, journal articles, and Internet sources. If you are seeking assistance with a subject area not represented in this list, please contact the Ask a Librarian service.
A Research Consultation is a one-on-one appointment with a librarian for extensive, in-depth research assistance. If you need more help than can be provided at the Reference Desk or from the Ask A Librarian service, you may sign up for a Research Consultation appointment. We will do our best to match you with a librarian who has some expertise in the subject area of your research.
Appointments are generally scheduled between 8 am through 6 pm Monday through Friday, but exceptions may be made if there are extenuating circumstances. We will attempt to accommodate distance learners by providing consultations via telephone, online chat, or email.
